Down by the River

Gathering inspiration from the nearby Salt River, Rebecca Ross wanted to give tribute to the waterway that has intermittently flowed through Tempe for centuries. The color scheme of greens and blues relate to the water and the plants it nourishes in this part of the Sonoran Desert. River rocks are sourced from the area, and are abundant along the riverbed and banks.

This project was funded through the City of Tempe Maryanne Corder Neighborhood Grant Program.
